New Focus

I'm now mostly a retired meteorologist but still love to watch Utah weather. I will continue to update the Utah weather cams and Utah weather links pages and occasionally post Utah weather related information. I'm spending more time enjoying Utah snow skiing, cycling, hiking, and water skiing.

Quick storm, windy! (31)

A quick moving storm is expected to push through Utah during the day on Thursday with valley rain changing to snow at the tail end of the storm, most rain/snow ending in all areas by dark. Look for a general 3-6" (local 7-9") for the northern Utah mountains above 7,000 ft, 1-2" between 4,500-7,000 ft which includes the benches, zero-1" below 4,500 ft. Winds ahead of the cold front are projected to be in the 20-30 g/45 mph range with local 25-35 g/60+ mph winds. Click on the below map for the WRF model forecasted snow between 5pm Wednesday and 5pm Friday.
