New Focus

I'm now mostly a retired meteorologist but still love to watch Utah weather. I will continue to update the Utah weather cams and Utah weather links pages and occasionally post Utah weather related information. I'm spending more time enjoying Utah snow skiing, cycling, hiking, and water skiing.

Another storm for the north, dry south (38)

Look for valley rain and mountain snow to move into northern Utah on Monday night, cold front pushes through northern Utah early on Tuesday morning with valley rain mixing with and changing to snow at the tail end of the front with little if any valley accumulation. Plan on continued snow showers at times mainly over the mountains during the daylight hours on Tuesday, snow filling into the valleys south and east of the Great Salt Lake on Tuesday night. Plan on a general 4-8" (local 9-14") for most northern Utah mountains above 8,000 ft, local 1/2-2" valleys/benches on Tuesday night south and east of the Great Salt Lake. Below is the WRF model forecasted snow between 6pm Monday and 6pm Wednesday.
