Finally some real snow for the mountains! (3/4)

A warm front is expected to move through mainly northern Utah on Thursday with valley snow changing to rain, snow on the mountains. Plan on continued showers at times on Friday focused over the mountains ahead of a cold front that is projected to move through the entire state late Friday night and through the day on Saturday with valley rain changing back to snow. Below is the model forecasted snow through 5PM Saturday. Plan on a general 10-20" of snow for the northern/central Utah mountains above 8,000 ft by 5PM on Saturday, local 24"+ possible!

Windy, cold, very little snow (2)

A strong cold front will move through the state on Monday bringing mainly wind and cold temperatures, tr-3" of snow for the northern Utah mountains. Below is the model forecast snow for this small snow producing storm.

HRRR model forecasted winds gusts for 2pm today. Most areas in Utah will likely see 35+ mph wind gusts, local 65+ mph winds possible!

First real snow of the season (1)

A small storm is expected to deliver a general 3-6" of snow to most Utah mountains this weekend above 8,000 ft with local 6-12" amounts above 10,000 ft focused in the Uinta's.

November Outlook

Plan on above normal temperatures for the entire state in November with near normal precipitation.

October Outlook

Plan on near normal temperatures for most of Utah in October, above normal temperatures far west areas. Near normal precipitation is expected in most areas of Utah in October, below normal precipitation in the northwest corner.
