New Focus

I still love to watch and forecast Utah weather and will continue to update the Utah Weather Cams, Utah Weather Links, Forecast Models, and Climate Change pages but will no longer post much. I'm spending more time to enjoying Utah snow skiing, cycling, hiking, and water skiing.

Thanks for visiting!

Lots of water, mountain snow! (24)

A significant winter storm is expected to move into mainly northern/central Utah on Saturday afternoon and last into the morning hours on Tuesday with off and on rain/snow at times. Look for most lower valley areas to start as snow on Saturday afternoon/evening but then transition to rain for most of the storm before switching back to snow on Monday afternoon. Plan on a general trace-2" of snow for the Wasatch Front valleys, 3-12+" for the Cache and mountains valleys, 13-36"+ for the central/northern/Uinta mountains above 7,000 ft. Click on the below image for the WRF model forecasted snow between 5am Saturday and 5am on Tuesday.
