New Focus

I'm now mostly a retired meteorologist but still love to watch Utah weather. I will continue to update the Utah weather cams and Utah weather links pages and occasionally post Utah weather related information. I'm spending more time enjoying Utah snow skiing, cycling, hiking, and water skiing.

Mainly central/southern Utah storm

The incoming storm this afternoon is expected to mainly hit central/southern Utah with 5-12" of snow for the mountains above 7,000 ft by the time it ends on Tuesday afternoon, 2-5" in the valleys above 5,000 ft. For northern Utah plan on trace-4" of snow for the Wasatch Mountains, trace-1" of snow in the valleys south of the point of the mountain with 0-1/2" northern valleys.

  1. What's the pattern looking like into mid-March. You thinking we can make up a little for these past two months?

    1. I think March will see a little above normal (110-120%) precipitation in northern Utah, near normal in southern Utah.
